Durham Start-Ups is part of the Enterprising Durham programme of support, ensuring startups, sole traders, social entrepreneurs, budding founders and freelancers in Durham get off to the best start with the right skills.
We’ve teamed up with Smarta, who’s on-demand eLearning platform is a key part of the overall Enterprising Durham programme, delivered with useful resources and online customer support. Smarta’s eLearning platform covers all aspects of starting your business or self-employment, enabling you to learn about the startup process in your own time. The four programmes available are:
- Business Fundamentals – covering all aspects of the startup journey.
- Startup Essentials – business structures, employment law, health and safety, consumer rights.
- Marketing Fundamentals – how to create and implement a marketing strategy.
- Digital Marketing – a hands-on approach to social media, organic search, paid search and more.
Enterprising Durham is delivered on behalf of Durham County Council. It is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
